Part-time, approx. 25 hrs/week, 5 days | Potential to grow into full-time
About us
Eastcoast Electronics is a busy repair and service workshop in Ashmore. We fix everything from guitar amps and hi-fi gear to TVs and consumer electronics, and we've built a loyal customer base on doing honest work and communicating clearly. We're a small team, so you'll have real ownership of your role from day one.
The role
You'll be the first point of contact for our customers and keep the front of the workshop running smoothly. Day to day you'll:
- Greet customers and book in repairs at the counter, by phone and by email
- Give clear updates on job progress, quotes and collections
- Keep our job book-in system accurate and up to date
- Prepare invoices, take payments and reconcile the day's takings
- Order parts and liaise with suppliers and contractors
- Keep the workshop organised — inventory, sales stock, general admin
- Help with progressing projects as the business grows
About you
We're not after a long list of qualifications — we're after the right person. You'll be:
- Friendly,
patient and genuinely good with people, in person and in writing
- Organised and detail-focused — things don't fall through the cracks on your watch
- Comfortable using AI tools - willing to learn and adapt
- Quick to pick up recent systems and comfortable with everyday software (email, spreadsheets, booking/invoicing tools)
- Self-motivated and happy to take initiative in a small team
- Curious about electronics — you don't need to know how an amp works, but interest is a big plus
Experience in a customer-facing, admin or retail role is helpful. Bonus if you've worked in a repair, trade or technical environment, or have any hands-on electronics interest — there's scope to learn bench work if that appeals.
What we offer
- Flexible part-time hours to suit
- Variety — no two days are the same
- Room to grow with the business, including into technical work if you're keen
