- Pay Rate: $88.29 per hour + superannuation

- Initial Contract: 26/10/2026 – 29/10/2027 (possible 18 months extension)
About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Lead to drive the delivery of a major Environmental Management System (EMS) uplift project within a large government infrastructure and asset management environment. This role will lead the end-to-end delivery of the EMS project as part of a broader transformation program, ensuring effective planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, implementation and organisational adoption.
Working closely with environmental specialists, senior leaders and operational stakeholders, you will provide leadership across multiple project streams and ensure successful delivery of environmental governance objectives and sustainable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, implementation and delivery of the Environmental Management System project.
- Establish and manage project governance, reporting frameworks and delivery assurance processes.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues and dependency registers.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across operational, technical and executive-level groups.
- Lead organisational change activities to support successful project implementation and adoption.
- Develop business cases, implementation plans, project documentation and executive reporting.
- Manage project risks, issues and competing priorities across a complex operating environment.
- Oversee vendor, contractor and stakeholder performance where required.
About you To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Mandatory Experience/Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience leading complex business transformation, governance, compliance, regulatory or enterprise system implementation projects.
- Strong project management expertise across the full project lifecycle from initiation through to delivery.
- Proven experience managing project governance, reporting, risks, issues, budgets and delivery assurance activities.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary project teams in complex environments.
- Experience preparing business cases, implementation plans, project documentation and performance reports.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and leadership capabilities.
Highly desirable:
- Previous experience within construction, infrastructure, facilities management, property or asset-intensive organisations.
- Experience delivering Environmental Management System (EMS) projects or environmental governance initiatives.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems or similar governance frameworks.
- Experience leading organisational change and business improvement programs.
- Understanding of risk management, compliance and sustainability programs.
- Familiarity with enterprise asset management platforms and related management systems.
