Engineering Obsession is a proudly WA-owned manufacturing business based in Bibra Lake. Established in 2010, we have grown steadily, building a strong reputation for quality workmanship in heat exchangers and specialised welding. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team in one of three apprenticeships:
These roles offer the prospect to learn a trade, gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a supportive environment alongside experienced tradespeople.
What You’ll Learn
Apprentice Boilermaker
- Fabricate and assemble steel components
- Weld, cut and prepare materials
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Safely use fabrication equipment, hand tools and power tools
Apprentice Machinist
- Operate manual and CNC machinery
- Manufacture precision components
- Read engineering drawings and specifications
- Use measuring and inspection equipment
- Set up machines and tooling
Apprentice Sheet Metal Fabricator
- Mark out, cut,
form and assemble sheet metal components
- Operate fabrication equipment, including guillotines, press brakes and rollers
- Develop welding and metal finishing skills
- Read engineering drawings and specifications
- Measure and inspect finished work
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for applicants who:
- Have a genuine interest in engineering and learning a trade
- Are reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Take pride in producing quality work
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Show robust attention to detail
- Understand the importance of workplace safety
A driver’s licence and reliable transport are preferred. A relevant pre-apprenticeship or work experience is advantageous but not essential. School leavers, mature-age applicants and candidates who have already started an apprenticeship are encouraged to apply.
