Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurses to provide Parental Leave cover for a Fixed Term - Full Time (1.0 EFT / 80hrs per fortnight) Grade 3 (ANUM) position at Broadmeadows Older Adults Mental Health Unit (BOAMHU) team until 16/05/27.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join the Broadmeadows Older Adults Mental Health Unit (BOAMHU) team.





BOAMHU is a 19-bed Inpatient Unit providing multidisciplinary treatment to Older Adult mental health consumers in the northern area.

- The ANUM fulfils the roles and responsibilities of the registered nurse, demonstrating expert clinical knowledge and skills whilst assuming a prominent management and leadership focus within the unit.
- The ANUM is an integral member of the leadership team, assisting the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in the course of their duties to ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment.

At BOAMHU we will welcome you as part of a caring and innovative multidisciplinary team to work with our older adults presenting with acute mental health needs. As a team we are passionate about the work we do to achieve our goals and deliver excellent care outcomes. Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 (ANUM) - Mental Health (Full Time – Fixed Term) - 80hrs per fortnight (1.0 EFT) until 16/05/27

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Registration as a registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, bachelor’s degree in nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.




- Minimum of three years post-graduate experience in Mental Health clinical settings including acute mental health.
- Demonstrated experience in providing nursing care and patient support that is reflective of the recovery model of care in mental health.
- Positive team player with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
