JS Careers is partnering with a leading insurance firm to source a Senior Procurement Manager to join a small but high performing team.

The role will work closely with business units across the group in a collaborative way. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business providing support and guidance to implement procurement strategies to ensure the highest levels of service in a cost effective way.

The role will also include a change management element, given the necessary transformation to processes under CPS230.

n

Key responsibilities:

- Cost analysis evaluations to help identify opportunities to improve service offerings and cost effectiveness.
n
- Take the lead on strategic procurement projects from RFP to contract negotiations.
n
- Manage contract negotiations in a commercial way.
n
- Ensure strategic and operational needs are met with the provision of products and services from vendors and suppliers.
n




- Set the strategy and ensure compliance with supplier governance for the business.
n
- Implement necessary changes to procurement processes under APRA Prudential Standard CPS230.
n

Key Requirements:

n

n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business/commerce, finance/accounting, engineering, IT, Procurement or a related discipline.
n
- 5+ years experience working in a procurement or vendor management function.
n
- Experience in Insurance or broader Financial Services industry would be preferred although not essential.
n
- Demonstrated success dealing with procurement processes and strategies.
n
- Understanding of the APRA requirements under CPS230.
n
- Solid negotiation and commercial analysis skills.
n
- Ability to lead and complex business wide transformation projects.
n
