Job Description

I'm working with a growing, well-regarded multidisciplinary building services consultancy in Sydney looking to appoint a Senior/Fire Protection Engineer to its team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of fire protection design but also wants more ownership, direct client exposure and the prospect to play a key role within a growing team.

Candidates from Engineerthrough to Principal level will be considered.

n

The Role

n

You'll work across a varied portfolio of building projects, taking responsibility for fire protection design and delivery from concept through to construction.

n

Depending on your experience, responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Design and documentation of fire protection systems
n
- Sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel and associated fire services design
n
- Preparing calculations, specifications and technical documentation
n
- Coordinating with other building services disciplines, architects and project stakeholders
n
- Managing projects and maintaining strong client relationships
n
- Attending design, coordination and site meetings
n
- Reviewing designs and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and the NCC
n
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
n
- Supporting the continued growth of the Fire Protection capability
n

For Principal-level candidates,



there is scope to take a broader role across technical leadership, client management, mentoring and business development.

About You

n

To be considered, you'll ideally have:

n

n
- 3+ years' Fire Protection Engineering experience
n
- Previous experience within an Australian building services consultancy
n
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements
n
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
n
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
n
