Assistant in Nursing

Blayney Multi Purpose Service

About the role

Blayney MPS are seeking applications from enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Assistants in Nursing (AINS) to join our supportive and inclusive Nursing workforce.

The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) position at Blayney Multipurpose Health Service (MPS) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to both our acute patients and the residents who call our facility home. We’re looking for a dynamic, motivated individual with a solid foundation in acute care and aged care, and a passion for making a meaningful difference every day.

Blayney MPS is truly a wonderful place to work — a warm, supportive rural health service where teamwork, respect, and best-practice care are at the core of everything we do.

As an AIN, you will have the opportunity to:

- Contribute to a collaborative and experienced nursing team
- Build solid connections with our long-term residents
- Witness the rewarding progress of patients recovering and returning home
- Work in an environment where your contribution genuinely matters

This is a shift-work position, covering mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays. Shifts are supported by a team including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing. The broader team also includes a full-time Nurse Manager, an Education Officer who attends one day per week, hotel services staff, medical staff, and visiting allied health professionals including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Dietitians.

AINs are allocated a dedicated wing of patients or residents, allowing you to deliver consistent, holistic care.

Key responsibilities include

- Providing high-quality patient and resident care
- Assisting with showering, meals, and toileting
- Conducting patient/resident rounding
- Supporting wound care
- Accurately completing documentation To be successful in this role you will hold Certificate III (HLT32507 Or HLT32512) in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care or Aged Care); or be currently enrolled as a Nursing Student (with successful completion of at least two semesters & your first clinical placement) along with a current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes.

If you’re passionate about delivering excellent care and want to be part of a supportive, close-knit rural health team, we’d love to hear from you. Join us at Blayney MPS and make a real difference every day.
