Global Advisory & Professional Services Firm An exciting opportunity is available with a highly regarded global professional services firm with a national presence and a strong reputation across forensic accounting, restructuring, deals, risk and advisory.
The Forensic team works alongside nationally and internationally recognised experts, assisting courts, clients and legal advisers with complex commercial disputes, valuations and financial analysis.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting or advisory professional looking to build deeper expertise in forensic accounting, dispute advisory and valuations, while working on varied and commercially interesting matters.
The Role
You will be involved in a broad range of forensic and advisory assignments, with a particular focus on commercial disputes and business valuations, including:
- Planning and delivering forensic accounting and advisory engagements
- Preparing independent expert reports and supporting financial models
- Quantifying economic loss, damages and other remedies arising from commercial disputes
- Performing valuations of businesses, shares, equity interests, IP and other intangible assets
- Reviewing and critiquing the work of other expert accountants and valuers
- Undertaking detailed company, industry and financial analysis
- Working closely with clients, legal advisers and other stakeholders
- Contributing to business development and relationship management
- Supporting continuous improvement across the team's quality and service delivery
About You The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, Law or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in forensic accounting, corporate finance, insolvency, audit, tax or professional advisory
- Dispute advisory and/or valuation experience will be highly regarded
- CA, CFA or another relevant professional qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial modelling, ideally including DCF analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and presentation abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and commercial acumen
- The ability to confidently work across complex matters and communicate findings clearly to clients and legal stakeholders
