Full An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a leading private hospital in Melbourne's eastern suburbs as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) – Intensive Care Unit . Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and wider clinical leadership team, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the ICU while helping maintain exceptional standards of patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICU nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Acting ANUM or emerging nurse leader looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a high-acuity private hospital environment.

The hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute and specialist services supported by advanced technology and experienced multidisciplinary teams, including emergency, intensive and coronary care, cardiac services and a broad range of complex surgical specialties.

About the Role

As Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will combine clinical expertise with hands-on leadership, supporting your team to deliver safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the daily clinical and operational management of the ICU
- Coordinating high-quality, evidence-based nursing care
- Providing leadership, mentorship and support to nursing staff




- Supporting staff development and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture
- Working closely with VMOs and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
- Supporting workforce planning and effective resource management
- Providing direct patient care and clinical leadership when required
- Promoting continuous improvement, professional development and clinical excellence

About You You are a clinically confident and motivated ICU Registered Nurse who enjoys supporting others and is ready to further develop your leadership capabilities.

To be considered, you will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of three years' post-registration clinical nursing experience
- Recent experience working within an Intensive Care Unit
- Previous ANUM, Acting ANUM or Clinical Nurse Specialist experience will be highly regarded
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the ACQSHC National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational,



prioritisation and time-management abilities
- A genuine commitment to mentoring colleagues and building a positive team culture
- Current Working with Children Check, where applicable

Salary & Benefits Salary: $60.15–$62.17 per hour + 12% superannuation, based on relevant nursing experience and the applicable Victorian nursing Enterprise Agreement
