Step Into a Key Patient Flow Leadership Role
Join Logan Hospital’s Patient Flow Bed Management Unit as a Permanent Part Time ANUM, providing clinical leadership and coordinating safe, efficient patient flow across the health service.
About This Role
Your new role
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager within the Patient Flow Bed Management Unit, you will provide operational leadership alongside the Nurse Unit Manager to support safe, efficient and patient-centred flow across Logan Hospital. You'll coordinate bed capacity, access and patient movement while working closely with emergency, inpatient, community and support services to ensure the right patient is in the right bed at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate bed allocation and patient flow to optimise hospital capacity and access.
- Provide clinical leadership, operational support and advanced decision-making.
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to improve patient journeys.
- Monitor performance, identify risks and drive quality and service improvements.
About You You are an experienced Registered Nurse with advanced patient flow knowledge and strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. You can work autonomously while building effective relationships across a complex multidisciplinary environment. Skills & Experience
- Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration and relevant tertiary qualification.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in patient flow and clinical coordination.
- Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using data, KPIs and improvement strategies to enhance patient flow.

Logan Hospital Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
