THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking an Associate Territory Manager – Orthopaedic Medical Devices to support the growth of their leading orthopaedic portfolio across Victoria and Tasmania.
This hands-on role will see you working closely with orthopaedic surgeons, providing in-theatre support and assisting with product launches, demonstrations and education. You will gain practical experience across a diverse product portfolio, learn the fundamentals of territory management and contribute to clinical and commercial outcomes.
This is a fast-paced role within a supportive, high-performing team, offering a structured pathway towards becoming a Territory Manager with responsibility for sales targets and territory ownership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide in-theatre support during orthopaedic procedures and assist surgeons and theatre teams with product utilisation
- Develop strong professional relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, theatre staff and hospital stakeholders
- Support the Territory Manager with territory planning, account management and business development
- Develop strong clinical and technical knowledge across the orthopaedic portfolio
- Assist with product demonstrations, education sessions and customer training
- Identify opportunities to strengthen existing accounts and develop new business
- Support product launches and new technology introductions
- Maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness across the territory
- Work collaboratively with the broader team to support customers and surgical cases across Victoria and Tasmania
- Travel across Melbourne, regional Victoria and Tasmania as required
ABOUT YOU:
- You have a strong clinical background, ideally as a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Osteopath, Exercise Physiologist, Doctor, Podiatrist, Paramedic, Theatre Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Sports Scientist or similar,
combined with a strong commercial mindset
- Alternatively, you may have pharmaceutical sales experience, strong clinical knowledge and the aptitude to confidently engage with surgeons and support procedures in theatre
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to quickly apply technical knowledge in a surgical setting
- Competitive, goal-oriented and self-motivated, with a genuine drive to achieve results
- Confident communicator, capable of influencing decisions, handling challenging conversations and delivering results in high-pressure environments
- Commercially minded, with a proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities and building relationships
- Thrive in quick-paced, team-focused environments and enjoy contributing to a high-performing culture
