About The Company ASC is Australia's submarine company. ASC built the Royal Australian Navy's Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats' service lives. They have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation's nuclear-powered submarines, the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia's history.

ASC is seeking a Atlassian Platform Advisor join their Applications and Integrations team.

About The Role The Atlassian Platform Advisor is responsible for managing and optimising ASC's Atlassian product suite, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Assets and a range of authorised plug-ins. Reporting to the Integration & Application Lead, you will ensure these platforms are secure, reliable and configured to meet business needs across the organisation.

You'll lead platform enhancements, develop tailored workflows, automation and support users at all levels of ASC.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Configure, customise and optimise Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence and Assets to meet enterprise needs.
- Implement advanced automation, workflows and integrations, and administer Atlassian add-ons and plugins.
- Lead platform enhancements and support portal expansion across business units.
- Administer and maintain Atlassian systems with a focus on performance, reliability and security.




- Support upgrades, licensing and vendor liaison.
- Research and implement new technologies, automation and practices within the Atlassian ecosystem.
- Provide end-user training and support to improve adoption and proficiency across the tools.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security standards and ASC policies, maintaining auditability and enforcing permission schemes.

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in IT support and applications at an enterprise level.
- Extensive experience administering Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence in Atlassian Data Center environments, including plug-ins and integrations.
- Advanced skills in workflow design, permission management, scripting (Groovy, ScriptRunner, REST API, JavaScript) and automation.
- Robust background in user access management, security compliance and governance standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Security Clearance.
