Job Title: Behaviour Support Practitioner
Brisbane and Gold Coast Area.
New Dawn Therapy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. This position will be conducted remotely from home whilst seeing participants in their respective locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan and implement behavioural strategies and interventions as capsulated in a positive behaviour support plan.
- Collaborate with families, carers and other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Conduct functional assessments to identify challenging behaviours.
- Provide comprehensive behaviour support to participants in accordance with their NDIS goals.
- Develop and monitor progress reports on the implementation of behaviour support plans.
- Provide training and education to families, carers and support workers regarding behaviour support.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Applied Behavioural Analysis or higher.
- Posses suitability outcome following capability suitability framework.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or similar role.
- Knowledge of NDIS legislation and restrictive practices is required.
- Proven ability to work with families, carers and support workers in a team-oriented manner.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing demands.
