Pacific Marine Group (PMG) delivers complex marine, civil and construction projects across Northern Australia and the Pacific.

As our project pipeline and capability continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Bids & Estimation Manager to lead our tendering and estimating function from our Townsville head office.

This is more than coordinating tender submissions.

You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end bid process - bringing together commercial, estimating, operational and technical expertise to turn opportunities into competitive, commercially sound and deliverable proposals.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll lead tenders and estimating while working closely with Business Development, Operations and project leaders across the business.

What you’ll own

You’ll be responsible for driving high-quality bid outcomes across PMG, including:

- Leading bids from opportunity handover through strategy, estimating, submission, clarification and project handover
- Developing bid strategies that align client requirements with PMG’s capability, competitive position and commercial objectives
- Leading and coordinating estimating and pricing to ensure bids are competitive, commercially sound and deliverable
- Identifying and managing commercial, contractual and operational risks throughout the tender process
- Bringing together technical, operational, HSEQ and commercial inputs into compelling client-focused submissions
- Driving accountability across bid contributors and ensuring priorities, resources and deadlines are effectively managed
- Maintaining strong tender governance, quality and approval standards




- Leading and developing the Tendering and Estimating team
- Using bid outcomes, client feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve PMG’s tendering capability

What we’re looking for You’ll bring strong commercial judgement alongside the ability to organise people, information and competing priorities.

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Significant experience across bid management, tendering, estimating or a related commercial discipline
- Experience coordinating complex, high-value or multidisciplinary tenders
- Strong understanding of estimating, pricing, contracts and commercial risk
- The ability to interpret technical scopes, specifications and contractual requirements
- Excellent written communication and the ability to turn complex information into transparent, persuasive submissions
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge, influence and drive accountability
- Experience leading or developing a tendering, estimating or commercial team
- Experience within marine, civil, construction, defence, resources or infrastructure environments will be highly regarded
