Hays Technology has partnered with a large, complex organisation undertaking a significant program of work to modernise its end-user technology environment. The organisation is focused on improving its technology services, identity management processes, telephony solutions and overall employee technology experience.

Your new role

As the Business Analyst, you will work closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and service providers to analyse current processes, define future-state requirements and support the delivery of improved end-user technology services.You will review standard device types across different business roles, including laptops, desktops and mobile phones, while assessing procurement, leasing and operating expenditure models. You will also analyse the end-to-end equipment ordering process, covering how devices are requested, approved, provisioned, tracked and managed throughout their lifecycle.

A key focus of the role will be supporting the replacement of Microsoft Identity Manager. This will include gathering requirements relating to payroll and HR system integration, automated user account creation, role-based access and broader identity and access management improvements. You will also assess the organisation's current telephony applications and services, including whether Microsoft Teams can replace existing Cisco phone systems.





This will involve reviewing the use of desk phones and identifying the differing communication requirements across operational environments and business functions.

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within large or complex technology environments
- Experience gathering, documenting and validating business and technical requirements
- Experience with information services asset management, particularly across technology procurement, laptop and mobile phone lifecycle management
- Exposure to end-user computing, workplace technology or modern device environments
- An understanding of identity and access management processes, including user provisioning and role-based access
- Experience reviewing procurement, equipment ordering or fulfilment workflows
- Knowledge of technology asset lifecycle management, asset registers and inventory practices
- Exposure to telephony, unified communications, Microsoft Teams or Cisco phone environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and process-mapping capabilities
- The ability to translate operational requirements into clear, actionable technology outcomes
