Business Analyst - Digital Transformation (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

Initial contract to February 2027 with planned extension through to February 2028

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a Queensland Government agency undertaking one of the state's most significant digital transformation programs.

As part of a large-scale technology implementation, we're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of a new enterprise Case Management Platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Microsoft 365 technologies. This program will establish critical digital capabilities supporting a major government reform initiative and offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile project with long-term funding and executive sponsorship.

About the Role Working within a multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for eliciting, analysing and documenting business requirements while acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

You will facilitate workshops, map current and future state processes, identify opportunities for improvement and support the successful implementation of enterprise technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead business requirements gathering workshops with a broad range of stakeholders
- Document functional and non-functional requirements
- Analyse and optimise business processes using BPMN and other modelling techniques
- Support solution design activities across Dynamics 365,



Power Platform and Microsoft technologies
- Contribute to business cases, options analysis and strategic recommendations
- Manage stakeholder engagement, consultation and expectation management
- Ensure alignment with governance, risk, compliance and information management requirements
- Mentor and support other Business Analysts within the program team

About You We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who can demonstrate:
- Extensive experience delivering business analysis outcomes within large ICT or digital transformation programs
- Strong requirements elicitation, documentation and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience with process mapping, process improvement and BPMN
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong written communication skills, including development of business documentation and executive-level materials
- Experience within government or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded
- Previous exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365, case management platforms or enterprise application implementations would be advantageous
