About the role The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong customer relationships within their region. The role is accountable for achieving or exceeding sales and margin targets through the promotion and sale of the client's products, systems and services while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety, compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement a territory sales plan for your state aligned with company strategic objectives

- Identify and secure new business opportunities within key market sectors

- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for growth

- Present and demonstrate products and solutions to customers using samples, catalogues and technical knowledge

- Travel within the state to meet with customers, contractors and distributors





- Investigate and resolve customer issues quickly and effectively

- Work closely with internal customer service teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction

- Monitor competitor products, pricing and market activities

- Identify emerging opportunities and market trends

- Provide feedback to management to support strategic planning

About you

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical industry

- Experience in sales, account management, or business development role

- Strong computer, communication skills, and reporting

- Valid Driver's Licence

- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets

- Strong understanding of the electrical market
