This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Cabinetmaker / Joiner to work on a diverse range of custom joinery and furniture projects.

The successful applicant will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of custom products including banquette seating, lounges, stools, benches, planters, waste units and other specialised commercial furniture and joinery.

The role involves working with both traditional woodworking machinery and modern CNC equipment to manufacture components using solid timber, composite panels and other materials.

Key Duties and Responsibilities - Your duties will include:

● Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and plans to determine materials, dimensions and construction requirements;

● Manufacturing and assembling custom cabinets, furniture, joinery and associated timber products;

● Setting out, cutting, shaping and machining timber, solid wood and composite panel products;

● Operating woodworking machinery, hand tools, power tools and CNC equipment;

● Constructing and assembling components using appropriate joints, fittings, adhesives and fasteners;

● Installing hardware, fittings, fixtures and other components;

● Working with materials including solid timber, MDF, particleboard and other composite panels;

● Applying and working with finishes and surfaces including high-pressure laminate, veneer and solid-surface products such as Corian;

● Jointing, assembling, cladding, laminating and finishing custom furniture and joinery;

● Checking completed products for dimensions,



alignment, finish and overall quality;

● Undertaking adjustments, repairs and modifications where required;

● Maintaining tools, machinery and work areas in a secure and serviceable condition;

● Following workplace health and safety requirements and safe operating procedures; and

● Working collaboratively with designers, production staff and other trades to ensure projects are completed to specification and within required timeframes.

Skills and Experience - The successful applicant will ideally have:

Relevant trade qualifications in Cabinet Making, Joinery or a closely related field;

● Demonstrated experience as a Cabinetmaker, Joiner or similar tradesperson;

● Experience across a broad range of cabinet making, joinery and wood machining activities;

● Experience working with both solid timber and composite panel products;

● Experience using traditional woodworking machinery and power tools;

● CNC machining experience or the ability to work with CNC-manufactured components;

● Experience working with materials such as high-pressure laminate, veneer and Corian or similar solid-surface products;

● Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications;

● Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship;

● Ability to work independently and as part of a production team; and

● Strong workplace health and safety awareness.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
