Holiday Care period: Monday 28 September – Friday 9 October 2026

Inner Sydney Montessori School (ISMS) is seeking enthusiastic and reliable casual educators to join our Holiday Care program during the upcoming school holidays.

Our Holiday Care program is a small, welcoming program for children aged 6–12 years from our school community. Based at our Balmain campus, the program provides a relaxed and engaging environment where children can participate in creative activities, games, cooking, outdoor play, building and making, and other hands-on experiences.

We are looking for people who enjoy working with children and can bring energy, initiative and a calm, positive approach to the program.

About the role

Working alongside our existing team, you will:

- Support and actively supervise children aged 6–12 years
- Engage with children during activities, games and outdoor play
- Assist with setting up and running planned activities
- Help maintain a protected, inclusive and welcoming environment
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Holiday Care program

Casual shifts will be available across the operating day, with hours varying according to program and staffing requirements. Applicants are welcome to indicate the days and times they are available between 28 September and 9 October 2026. For the right candidates, there may also be opportunities for ongoing casual work during school terms and future school holiday programs.

About you

You may be an experienced educator, university student, teacher, education support professional or someone with relevant experience working with children.

We particularly welcome applications from students studying Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology,



Occupational Therapy, Social Work or a related field.

We are looking for people who:

- Enjoy working positively and respectfully with children
- Are reliable, responsible and able to work as part of a small team
- Have good communication skills and initiative
- Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check
- Have current legal working rights in Australia
- Are available for some or all of the Holiday Care period

Experience in schools, OOSH, Holiday Care, camps, sport, coaching or other children's programs would be valued.

About ISMS

Inner Sydney Montessori School is a small, not-for-profit school community providing Montessori education from early childhood through primary school.

Our Balmain campus is located in Sydney's Inner West and is well connected by public transport, including buses and ferries.

This is an opportunity to work within a welcoming school community and gain further experience working with children in a Montessori environment. For the right candidates, there may also be opportunities for ongoing casual work during school terms and future school holiday programs.

Employment: Casual

Pay: Casual rates in accordance with the applicable award
