We are seeking a motivated and reliable Groundsman to join our team at a busy bowling club. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining quality playing surfaces and gardens, and wants to develop their skills in turf and grounds management.
About the Role
Working as part of the grounds and maintenance team, you will assist with the day-to-day presentation, maintenance and upkeep of the bowling greens, surrounding gardens and club grounds.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist with the maintenance of bowling greens and turf areas
● Mowing, edging, trimming and general turf maintenance
● Operating and maintaining turf and grounds maintenance equipment
● Fertilising, watering and assisting with turf renovation programs
● Weed, pest and disease management under direction from the Head Greenkeeper
● Garden and landscape maintenance
● General grounds maintenance and presentation
● Assist with bowling green preparation for competitions and events
● Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and equipment
● Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment
● Assist with general maintenance duties around the club as required
About You
We are looking for someone who:

punctual and has a strong work ethic
● Enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team
● Takes pride in their work and has a good eye for detail
● Is physically fit and comfortable performing manual work
● Has an interest in turf management, horticulture or grounds maintenance
● Is willing to learn and develop new skills
● Can follow instructions and work safely
● Has good communication skills
● Previous experience in turf, horticulture, landscaping or grounds maintenance is desirable but not essential
