About The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Aboriginal Clinical Lead to join the Ngaliya Ngara Aboriginal Family Service within the Aboriginal Health Equity Program.

This specialist leadership role provides clinical and Cultural leadership, consultation, supervision and mentorship to support culturally safe, trauma-informed and evidence-based care for Aboriginal children, families, kin and carers. The role is integral to ensuring Aboriginal worldviews, knowledge and ways of working are embedded in clinical practice and service responses, supporting improved health equity outcomes for Aboriginal families.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

- Provide clinical and Cultural leadership, consultation, supervision and mentorship to staff working with Aboriginal children and families, supporting culturally safe and responsive practice.
- Provide specialist guidance in psychosocial assessment, child and family health assessment, case planning, therapeutic support and responses to complex clinical and psychosocial needs.
- Work directly with Aboriginal children, families, kin and carers who may experience barriers to engaging with mainstream health services, providing trauma-informed, culturally safe and family-centred support.
- Build strong partnerships with Aboriginal community leaders, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, government agencies and other services supporting Aboriginal children and families.
- Take a clinical leadership and advocacy role in multidisciplinary and interagency collaboration, supporting coordinated responses for children and families with complex needs.
- Lead and contribute to service planning, continuous improvement,



education and workforce capability initiatives that strengthen culturally safe service delivery and improve outcomes for Aboriginal children and families.
- Support the implementation of relevant NSW Child Health standards, service standards, policies and procedures, while promoting innovation, evidence-based practice and Aboriginal ways of knowing, being and doing.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Holds the relevant qualifications and professional registration or eligibility for the applicable Social Work, Counselling or Nursing classification.
- Has extensive experience working with children and families with complex health, psychosocial and wellbeing needs, including assessment and therapeutic intervention.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of intergenerational trauma, colonisation and their ongoing impacts on Aboriginal families and communities.
- Has experience in clinical and Cultural leadership, supervision, consultation, mentoring and workforce development.
- Can build strong, respectful partnerships with Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and multidisciplinary and interagency partners.
- Demonstrates a solid commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed and evidence-based practice, service improvement and better health outcomes for Aboriginal families.
