Hinchinbrook, NSW We are looking for a Childcare Trainee!

As a Childcare Trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced educators, caring for and supporting children aged 0–5. You’ll learn practical skills in early childhood education, child development, and program delivery while completing a nationally recognised traineeship. This is a role where you’ll receive guidance and mentorship, not just be part of a team.

Some of Your Duties Will Include:

- Supporting educators in daily childcare programs
- Assisting with child observations and documentation, including eating and sleeping charts, parent communications, and photography
- Helping prepare and implement engaging lessons and activities
- Assisting with enrollment paperwork as needed




- Floating between rooms as your skills grow, gaining experience across different age groups
- Participating in training and professional development sessions
- Following Workplace Health & Safety procedures

What You’ll Need to Get Started:

- Interest in childcare, early childhood education.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn.
- Teamwork and solid communication skills.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Ability to travel reliably to and from the Prestons Centre
