Role Summary

As a Claims Consultant you'll provide a personal and empathetic service to Life customers, managing and assessing Life Claims efficiently within delegated authority. The role further supports the broader Claims Team in managing workflow and ensuring effective service delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Assess and manage claims within set authority limits.




- Provide outstanding customer service and adhering to ClearView’s Claims philosophy.
- Proactively handle a diverse range of Income Protection, Trauma and Total & Permanent Disablement claims.
- Gathering and interpreting relevant information for effective claim management.
- Following the Life Insurance Code of Practice (LICOP) and internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
- Delivering efficient case management to support robust claims strategies and positive customer outcomes.
- Working seamlessly in a team environment, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including Consulting Medical Officers (CMO) and Reinsurance partners.

Secondary Responsibilities

- Assist with data for claims reporting
- Claims general customer service enquiries.
- System testing as required.
- Claims process improvement.
- Take ownership of the risk and compliance responsibilities relevant to your role, support a solid risk culture, and understand that risk is everyone’s responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills Required

- 3+ years claims assessment
- Proven experience in similar roles and demonstrated dedication to service and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and governing principles.
- Strong customer service focus with empathy, integrity, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability to assess and manage claims efficiently.




- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant systems to support workflow and documentation.
