Mindstate Psychology is expanding! This busy private practice specialises in evidence based clinical treatment and is developing a reputation as the go-to place for assessment. We have a model which allows you to develop your own business around your interests.

The practice has been developed by Dr Phil Watts (director) who is a high profile psychologist with 35 years experience as both a forensic psychologist, clinical psychologist, and neurofeedback practitioner. Due to expanding need, Dr Watts is keen to start a clinician who has broad experience and wants to get into family law assessment

We are currently looking for a clinician 3 - 5 days per week who wants to learn to do forensic assessment.

Family

Law is complex area to navigate but Dr Phil Watts provides supervision and guidance. You need an interest in legal matters, skills in assessment, and the ability to write good reports reasonably quickly. You have options such as family therapy, court ordered treatment for children and adults, and other options. Please note to work in the area you need experience (at least 7 years), Clinical or Forensic qualification, and a desire to learn.

Experience working with families is helpful. You do not have to be experienced with court, law or family court to be considered.

We encourage you to have mixed practice which may include therapy. At Mindstate we also gets a range of client referrals - the work is interesting and varied.



We love EMDR trained people and Mindstate gets a lot of trauma referrals amongst a varied caseload. Those who are interest in working with children is especially valued.

Perhaps you have some other area of specialist skill and would like to develop it to complement our existing services.

We have 13 consulting rooms, a neurofeedback clinical, and a high tech training room if you want to run groups. There are 4 separate waiting rooms so clients do not feel overwhelmed. The office is in a central location in South Perth with free staff parking for all practitioners. It is close to the zoo, freeway, and a park.

Mindstate Psychology has a great team spirit. We need you to fit into the team setting. We hold team lunches on a regular basis. Practitioners get free access to Dr Watts training workshops. We run some PD inhouse at times.

Plenty of work available and generally you can get busy quickly We can help you develop everything you need to run a successful private practice with generous returns for your efforts. Terms and nature of the facility fee available on discussion (essentially the more you work the more you earn).
