Where you'll be working Positions within RNSH Nutrition Services are appointed on the relevant grading, not to a specified clinical area. Clinical area allocation is based upon departmental need. What You'll Be Doing The position of the Clinical Specialist Research Dietitian participates in all activities required to provide an effective clinical nutrition service for Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) and as this relates to the allocated clinical speciality. In addition, this position is responsible for guiding quality assurance, development of better practice and clinical research with the department and is actively involved in teaching staff and students in their field of expertise. The position is required to participate on relevant high-level committees, representing Nutrition and Dietetics for the department or Local Health District (LHD).
The position is a clinical specialist in one or more key clinical areas for RNSH and is responsible for ensuring that all patients requiring clinical nutrition intervention are provided with the best possible quality of assessment and care based on established professional standards and best practice.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Recent, extensive and diverse clinical experience at level 2 or above in a wide range of clinical nutrition areas and up-to-date knowledge of dietetic practice.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in clinical supervision of staff.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and facilitate high level clinical research and quality improvement within health, inclusive of independent statistical analysis and interpretation, and its application to clinical practice.
