A mechanical services business is opening a current sheetmetal facility in Perth and needs experienced CNC operators for the new plant.
This is a new shop with new machines and a team being built from scratch. There is a full production programme behind it rather than a short project. Permanent, local, and home every night.
What you would be doing:
Setting up and operating CNC laser cutting and press brake plant
Working from fabrication drawings and nest files
Nesting jobs for material yield and for the press brake sequence that follows
First off checks, in process checks and holding tolerance
Routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep the machines running
Working to Australian Standards and to WHS requirements
What we are looking for
Hands on experience setting as well as running CNC laser and press brake plant
Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings A sheetmetal or fabrication background
Construction White Card The right to work in Australia on an ongoing basis
There is also a Leading Hand position for someone who has run a small fabrication crew before and wants to keep their hands on the machines.
These roles start before Christmas.
Pay is $42 to $50 an hour plus superannuation for CNC operators, and $48 to $55 an hour plus superannuation for the Leading Hand.
