We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join our Finance team as a Commercial Business Partner.
Based at our North Sydney office and reporting to our Senior Commercial Manager - Sales, you'll partner closely with senior sales and market leaders across New South Wales and Queensland, helping drive performance, challenge assumptions and influence commercial decision-making. This is a role for someone who enjoys being in the thick of the business, not sitting on the sidelines. You'll be a trusted advisor, providing insights, shaping forecasts and ensuring leaders have the information they need to make confident decisions.
About the Role
You'll act as the key finance partner to our NSW and QLD markets, supporting state leadership teams to achieve strategic, operational and financial objectives. Your focus will be on delivering and actioning meaningful commercial insights rather than simply reporting the numbers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with business leaders to drive performance and accountability
- Challenging forecasts, assumptions and investment decisions to improve business outcomes
- Delivering insightful customer, category and market analysis
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes
- Monitoring sales performance, profitability, pricing and expenditure
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth
- Supporting commercial decision-making through robust analysis and recommendations
- Building strong relationships across sales,
finance and leadership teams.
About You
We're looking for someone who has already developed strong commercial business partnering capability and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders.
You'll bring
- Previous experience in a Commercial Business Partner, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partner role
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior business leaders and influencing decision-making
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate numbers into actionable business insights
- Confidence to ask questions, challenge thinking and contribute to robust debate
- The ability to adapt your communication style to different stakeholders and situations
- Solid analytical capability combined with excellent relationship-building skills
- A proactive, curious approach to the adoption of AI
- A degree in a business-related discipline and CA/CPA qualifications, or equivalent commercial finance experience.
