Commercial Product Manager

Shape the products that drive our growth. At Australian Tyre Traders (ATT), we’re one of Australia’s leading independent tyre wholesalers, supplying tyre and wheel solutions across Australia through a network of trusted dealers.

We’re an ambitious business with a strong growth agenda. As we continue to grow, we’re strengthening how we identify product opportunities, make investment decisions, bring products to market and manage their performance.

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Product Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end product development and commercialisation process.

This is a highly influential role working across Product, Sales, Supply Chain and Procurement. You’ll use customer, market and commercial data to identify opportunities, validate where we should invest and ensure the products we take to market deliver the returns we expect.

Why this role matters

Every new product represents a significant commercial investment. Getting it right means understanding what customers need, validating demand before we invest, planning inventory carefully, executing a strong launch and then using real performance data to determine what happens next.

You’ll bring greater commercial discipline to that process and help ATT make better product decisions as we grow.

What you’ll be responsible for

Identify new product opportunities

- Analyse customer, sales and market data to identify commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with Sales to understand customer needs, market gaps and emerging trends.
- Build commercial business cases for new product opportunities.
- Recommend product investments aligned with ATT’s strategic and category priorities.
- Bring evidence and commercial rigour to decisions about where we invest.

Validate commercial opportunities

- Test potential opportunities with customers and internal stakeholders before significant investment is made.
- Assess demand, pricing, margin,

volume and inventory requirements.
- Determine whether opportunities have a strong enough commercial case to progress.
- Ensure new opportunities fit within the broader product and category portfolio.

Lead product commercialisation

- Take approved products from concept through to market launch.
- Coordinate pricing, inventory planning and launch activities.
- Work across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and other teams to keep commercialisation on track.
- Ensure Sales has the product knowledge, tools and support required to take new products to market successfully.
- Track early performance and respond quickly where results differ from expectations.

Optimise inventory investment

- Own inventory planning for new and developing product ranges.
- Balance customer availability with inventory efficiency and commercial return.
- Monitor stock performance and identify opportunities to improve stock turns and working capital.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure inventory investment reflects actual and forecast demand.

Manage product performance

- Monitor sales, margin, customer adoption and inventory performance across the portfolio.
- Identify what is working, what isn’t and why.
- Recommend whether products should be scaled, improved, managed differently, cleared or exited.
- Lead regular portfolio reviews to ensure continued investment is commercially justified.
- Turn product and customer data into clear recommendations and actions.

About you

You’ll be commercially minded, analytical and comfortable making decisions using data.

You may come from Product Management, Category Management, Merchandise Planning, Commercial Planning or a similar role within wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, automotive or retail.

Experience within the tyre industry, particularly tyre wholesale or distribution, will be a significant advantage. If you already understand tyre products, categories, customers and market dynamics, you’ll be able to get up to speed quickly and bring valuable industry knowledge to the role.

You’ll bring

- Strong merchandise planning and inventory optimisation experience.
- Experience managing product portfolios or commercial product ranges.
- Robust commercial and financial acumen.
- Confidence analysing sales, margin, customer and inventory data.
- The ability to turn data into clear commercial recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work across Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement and Commercial teams.
- Strong planning, prioritisation and project management capability.
- The confidence to challenge assumptions and ask the right commercial questions.
- A track record of taking ownership and seeing opportunities through from idea to execution.

Why join ATT?

ATT is investing in its next stage of growth. We’re strengthening our commercial capability, improving how we use data to make decisions and becoming more disciplined about where we invest for growth.

This role gives you the opportunity to have a real influence on that journey.

You won’t simply maintain an existing product portfolio. You’ll help determine where ATT should invest, which opportunities we pursue, how we bring them to market and what we do when the data tells us something needs to change.

If you have strong commercial product capability and want the prospect to shape product decisions in a growing Australian business, we’d love to hear from you.
