We have an exciting prospect for an experienced Communications Project Engineer to join our WA Electrical Construction team on a full-time basis, located in Perth. The successful candidate will support multiple projects across the business, overseeing design development and coordinating site activities to ensure projects are delivered safety, efficiently, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

- Review communication IFC drawing, topology/schematics, schedules and elevations to ensure constructability, compliance and clarity.
- Identify and mitigate installation risk, including cable routing, accessing constraints, penetrating and construction sequencing.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines, consultants and site teams to resolve design clashes and support efficient project delivery
- Manage RFIs, design changes, technical queries and constructability reviews, ensuring timely resolution and documentation
- Produce constructability notes, marked up drawings, and recommendation to the delivery team
- Ensure all personnel and subcontractors are working form the latest approved drawings and design revisions.
- Administer and monitor communication installations quality assurance processes, including ITPs, ITCs, testing, commissioning and compliance documentation.
- Verify installations, comply with relevant standards, project specifications and design requirements and support the close out of non-conformances.
- Ensure quality assurance (test sheets, checklists, photos, communication reports, certificates) as collated for handover.




- Coordinate handover documentation, including test results, commissioning records, certificates and as-built information.
- Confirm installations meet AS/CA S008, AS/CA S009, AS 11801, project specifications, and consultant design intent.
- Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams to source goods and services in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and budget requirements, including preparing purchase evaluations and recommendations for approval.
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required by Fredon.

Successful Candidate Will Have:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or building services consultancy space.
- Previous experience and proven track record in project engineering, management and delivery of electrical services engineering on medium to large scale construction projects.
- Hands on experience in electrical service designs, shop drawing, development, design verification, engineering change management, documentation control, testing and commissioning process
- Strong focus to safety and continuous improvement
- Strong understanding of the Australian Building Codes and Australian standards in relation to electrical services
- Advance Microsoft Office experience, including MS projects
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously
- High level of attention to detail and time management skills
- User of initiative and problem-solving skills
- High attention to safety, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Positive team player with a can do attitude.
