We are seeking an experienced Complementary Health Therapist to lead the delivery of Ayurvedic and complementary health services across our practice.Treating the whole person rather than focusing on specific symptoms, you will assess clients, develop and implement individualised treatment plans, evaluate and document client progress, provide dietary and lifestyle advice, and prescribe natural medicines within your professional scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess clients to determine the nature of their health condition, problem or need through questioning, examination and observation, as part of comprehensive Ayurvedic consultations.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using complementary health applications such as Ayurvedic medicine, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and yoga and relaxation therapies.
- Evaluate and document clients’ progress through their treatment plans, modifying recommendations based on client outcomes.
- Provide dietary and lifestyle advice and guidelines based on Ayurvedic principles to support preventative health and long-term wellbeing.
- Prescribe natural medicines, such as herbal and mineral preparations, to stimulate the body’s capacity for self-healing, within skilled scope.
- Deliver Panchakarma preparation and post-treatment guidance, and integrate yoga, relaxation and stress management strategies into client care.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of wellness programs, retreats, workshops and educational initiatives.
- Mentor junior therapists and wellness practitioners, and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
About You
Essential:
- Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), or an equivalent bachelor degree or higher qualification in a relevant complementary health discipline.
- Minimum three years of professional clinical experience in Ayurvedic practice.
- Demonstrated experience assessing clients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and evaluating client progress.
- Advanced knowledge of Ayurvedic diagnostic principles, herbal and natural medicines, and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong client communication and health education skills.
Highly desirable:
- Qualifications in health services management, psychology or counselling.
- Qualifications in Yoga and Relaxation and related therapies.
- Experience in retreat facilitation and wellness program delivery.

Pay: $79,500.00 – $89,000.00 per year
