Contractor Owner Drivers – 6T+ Pantech (2-Person Crew) Ad-Hoc / On-Call Work | Sydney Metro

PicUp is seeking experienced contractor owner-drivers with a 6-tonne to 8-tonne pantech (capable of a 5-tonne payload, fitting 5-meter length freight, and equipped with a tail lift) and a 2-person crew for delivery work across the Sydney Metro area.

Please note: This is an ad-hoc, on-call contractor role. Work is provided as deliveries become available. We do not offer minimum guaranteed hours or regular daily work, making this perfect for owner-operators looking to fill gaps in their existing schedule.

The Work

- Multi-drop delivery runs as required
- Truck finishes on road (no depot return until next required shift)
- Delivering palletised freight and boxed goods

Volume & Hours Profile (Indicative)

- Work is strictly on an "as available" basis depending on freight volume.
- No minimum daily deliveries or guaranteed weekly hours.

Vehicle & Crew Requirements (Essential)

- 6T or larger pantech truck
- Must have a tail lift
- Must supply your own pallet jack
- Must have a minimum 5T payload capacity
- Must be capable of fitting 5-meter length freight (minimum 5m internal body length)
- 2-person crew required for all shifts
- Load restraint equipment and straps
- Smartphone with data

Contractor Requirements

- ABN & GST registered
- Commercial vehicle insurance
- Public liability insurance
- Workers comp insurance or equivalent
- Physically capable with excellent customer service skills
- Excellent English & communication skills
- No students & Australian license only




- Experience handling palletised freight and using a tail lift

Pay & Commercials

- Hourly rate or negotiated day/job rate for 2-person truck
- Flexible ad-hoc shifts (gig-style work)

Start Date

- Immediate start available upon successful onboarding

Technology

- Experience using delivery apps is advantageous
- Strict adherence to quality POD compliance is required
