Breakers Cafe is looking for a reliable and capable Casual Cook / Chef to join our kitchen team in Mollymook.
Located just moments from Mollymook Beach, Breakers is a busy neighbourhood cafe focused on great breakfast, brunch and lunch food, quality produce and relaxed South Coast hospitality.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a cafe kitchen, can handle a busy service and wants to be part of a small, friendly team.
THE ROLE
Working alongside our kitchen and front of house team, you’ll be involved across daily food preparation and service, including:
- Breakfast, brunch and lunch service
- Preparing and cooking menu items consistently
- Mise en place and daily kitchen preparation
- Running a section during busy periods
- Maintaining food quality and presentation
- Stock rotation and reducing unnecessary waste
- Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen
- Assisting with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Supporting the team wherever required
ABOUT YOU You may be a qualified chef, experienced cook or someone with strong cafe kitchen experience.
We’re particularly looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a cafe, restaurant or similar kitchen
- Is confident working during busy breakfast and lunch services
- Can work efficiently without compromising food quality
- Is reliable, organised and communicates well
- Takes pride in presentation and consistency
- Understands food safety and kitchen cleanliness
- Works well as part of a small team
- Is available across weekdays and weekends as required
Formal chef qualifications are welcomed but not essential for the right experienced applicant. WHY BREAKERS?
