Hey there, it’s Victoria. The team and I are looking for a brilliant Copywriter to join the She’s on the Money team full time.
She’s on the Money has grown into one of Australia’s most influential financial education platforms. Every month more than 1.8 million people listen to the podcast, and our community engages with us across social media, digital content, courses and campaigns.
The conversations we have at She’s on the Money aren’t just fun. They’re researched, thoughtful, intelligent and designed to genuinely help people feel more confident about money.
And words are a huge part of that.
This role is about helping the She’s on the Money voice shine a little brighter and live a little louder.
You’ll write across the entire She’s on the Money ecosystem, from podcast scripts and ad reads to social content, campaigns, articles, email, courses and educational resources.
I’m looking for someone who can really capture our tone of voice, but who is also comfortable tackling complex topics, researching them properly and turning them into content that feels simple, relatable and useful.
A huge part of what we do is making money feel less intimidating.
That means taking something that might feel complicated, technical or overwhelming and explaining it in a way that makes someone think, oh, I actually get this now.
And ideally, makes them want to keep reading, keep listening and definitely not skip the ads.
This role is full time and fully remote.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be writing across a wide range of content, including:
- Podcast scripts and show outlines
- Ad reads and sponsored content
- Blog articles and educational content
- Social media copy and campaign concepts
- Email newsletters and marketing copy
- Website and landing page copy
- Course content and educational materials
- Sales pages and course launch campaigns
- Ebooks, downloadable resources and lead magnets
- Founder-led scripts and face-to-camera content
- Creative campaign ideas and brand storytelling
You’ll also work closely with our broader content team to help shape ideas and turn them into clear, engaging content across multiple formats.
That could mean taking a podcast idea and turning it into a script,
then helping shape the email, social copy, ebook or campaign that sits around it.
You won’t just be handed finished briefs and asked to fill in the words.
We want someone who has ideas too.
The kind of person who will thrive in this role
You genuinely love writing.
You care about words, but you also care about what they’re trying to achieve.
You’re curious, you research properly and accuracy matters to you.
You’re comfortable taking complex information and making it feel simple without making it feel dumbed down.
You can shift between educational, conversational, commercial and entertaining copy while still keeping everything unmistakably She’s on the Money.
Ideally you
- Have experience in copywriting, content writing or editorial roles
- Are confident writing across lots of different formats
- Have excellent research skills and strong attention to detail
- Can explain complicated ideas simply and clearly
- Understand digital content, social media and audience behaviour
- Enjoy collaborating with creative, editorial and marketing teams
- Are comfortable receiving feedback and refining your work
- Are organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Have strong instincts around hooks, headlines and storytelling
- Care deeply about tone of voice and brand consistency
Experience in personal finance is helpful, but it isn’t essential.
What matters more is that you’re genuinely curious about money, business, property, investing and the conversations women are having about their financial lives.
Bonus points if you’ve worked with podcasts, media brands, education businesses or large digital communities before.
The outcome
Success in this role means the She’s on the Money voice feels consistent, smart, warm and unmistakably us wherever our audience finds us.
Our scripts sound natural.
Our educational content is genuinely helpful.
Our campaigns make people want to pay attention.
Our courses feel engaging rather than textbook-y.
And complex financial ideas become content that people actually understand.
How to apply
Please send an email through to
[email protected] and include:
- Your resume
- A cover letter telling us why you’d love to work at She’s on the Money
- Links to 2–3 examples of your best writing
Your cover letter matters here.
I’m really looking for someone who can write beautifully and thoughtfully, so this is your chance to show us your voice.
A small note before you apply
Because this role is centred around writing and communication, we’ve included a couple of small steps in the application process to help us understand how you think and write.
First, in the first line of your cover letter, please include the words “Make it make sense.”
It’s a simple way for us to see who has read the carefully, and it’s also a pretty valuable summary of what we’re asking you to do every day.
Second, along with your resume and cover letter, please include a short response to the following prompt:
Rewrite the following in 100 words or less so it sounds like something She’s on the Money would actually say:
“Financial literacy is an important component of achieving long-term financial wellbeing. Developing strong budgeting and investment habits can assist individuals in making more informed financial decisions.” We’re not looking for you to simply make it more casual.
We want to see how you would make the idea feel clear, interesting, relatable and genuinely useful for our audience.
Finally, please include links to 2–3 examples of your best writing. These can be articles, blog posts, campaigns, scripts, emails or anything else you feel best demonstrates your ability.
This doesn’t need to be perfect.
We’re simply looking to understand how you think, how you write and how you turn dry or complicated information into something people actually want to engage with.
We can’t wait to read your applications.
Recruiters need not contact us, we’ve got this one.
