Job Description

With continued market demand, a strong pipeline of work and a transparent growth trajectory, the business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its leadership team.

This is a hands-on and influential role offering the opportunity to lead the finance function, strengthen financial controls and reporting, drive process improvements, and partner closely with key decision-makers. Working across both the financial and operational aspects of the business, you will provide commercial insight, support strategic decision-making, and play a key role in driving performance and supporting the company's continued growth.

Position
n
Reporting directly to the leadership team, this position offers a balanced mix of financial control, process improvement and commercial partnering responsibilities.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n

- Leading the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
n
- Managing month-end processes, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
n
- Maintaining a robust financial control and compliance environment that supports sustainable business growth.
n
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reporting quality and business performance.
n
- Providing commercial insight and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
n
- Monitoring key operational drivers,
including labour utilisation, material costs, productivity and profitability metrics.
n
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve performance and drive accountability.
n

Profile
n
You will be a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being close to operations and making a tangible impact within a business.
n
n
- CA or CPA qualifications.
n
- Strong technical accounting, financial control and reporting experience.
n
- Proven capability across management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
n
- A hands-on approach with the ability to understand the underlying drivers behind financial results.
n
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into practical business outcomes.
n
- Experience within manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.
n
- Experience working within privately owned or family-run businesses will be viewed favourably.
n
- A key leadership position within a successful and growing privately owned business.
n
