Corporate M&A; Lawyer| 6+ Month

Elevate is partnering with a leading Australian financial services organisation to appoint a M&A; Lawyer for an exciting secondment opportunity based in Sydney. Joining a high-performing in-house legal team, you will support a broad range of strategic, transactional and commercial matters across the Corporate, Treasury & Investment function.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to provide practical legal support across a broad mix of banking and business aspects, including:
- Assisting a diverse range of M&A; transactional matters.
- Contributing to significant strategic initiatives while gaining valuable in-house experience within a sophisticated commercial environment.
- Supporting high-quality, complex matters within a sophisticated commercial environment.
About You
We are looking for
- An Australian-qualified lawyer with 4+ years' PQE and open to for senior profiles as well.
- Strong background in M&A;, corporate transactions, private equity, capital markets, or complex commercial matters.
- Exposure to acquisition finance, leveraged finance, corporate lending, or M&A; financing transactions.
- Commercially minded with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong banking & finance experience gained in private practice and/or in-house is preferred.
