We're growing and looking for a humble, passionate, and experienced Florist to join our creative team. This is not your typical florist role. If you thrive on interpreting briefs, creating impactful floral experiences, and bringing spaces to life through thoughtful design, we'd love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of floral design principles, an appreciation for interior design, and proven experience creating floral installations and arrangements for corporate environments, hotels, and events.

About Miei

At Miei, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and create their own future. Our mission is to help close the poverty gap through children's education. We achieve this by sponsoring children with the essentials they need to attend school, funded through the profits generated by the products and services we provide to Corporate, Government, and Hotel clients.

Our headquarters is based in Docklands, Melbourne and is home to our retail store, café, workshop, and creative hub.

Ten years on, having navigated a global pandemic, we're still growing. At the heart of our success are our loyal clients, dedicated team, and commitment to creating meaningful social impact.

About the Role

Reporting to the Creative Director, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional floral experiences across a diverse range of projects.

You will be responsible for managing workflow, supporting project delivery, creating floral designs, liaising with clients and suppliers, and assisting with installations across Melbourne.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational aspects of floristry and is excited by the opportunity to work across corporate offices, hotels, events, activations, and bespoke installations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, create, and install floral arrangements and installations for corporate offices, hotels, events, and special projects
- Interpret client briefs and provide creative recommendations
- Procure and select flowers and materials to meet project requirements
- Condition, prepare, and maintain floral stock to maximise quality and vase life
- Support client consultations, site inspections, and quoting
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors
- Assist with workshop facilitation for corporate and community clients
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Creative to ensure all work meets our quality standards
- Maintain production schedules and project timelines
- Develop and maintain efficient studio processes
- Identify opportunities to improve sustainability and reduce environmental impact

About You

- Minimum 3 years' floristry experience
- Experience estimating and quoting design projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A passion for building client relationships
- A valid driver's licence and confidence driving a van
- Availability to work occasional weekends and event schedules

Most Importantly, You Are

- A visionary and problem solver
- A proactive doer who takes ownership
- Calm under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable
- Self-motivated and accountable
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Curious and creative
- Not afraid to challenge the status quo and improve processes

Why Join Miei?

At Miei, you'll have the opportunity to create meaningful work that goes beyond flowers. You'll work on exciting projects across corporate, hospitality, and event sectors while contributing to a business that uses profit as a force for good. Every arrangement, installation, workshop, and event helps support our mission of improving access to education for children in need.

If you're looking for a role where creativity, purpose, and impact come together, we'd love to hear from you.
