About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The MCV determines in excess of 200,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, dealing with over 90 percent of all adult cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

About The Role
Lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team and play a key role in supporting people with multiple and complex needs to engage with treatment, address underlying issues, and achieve positive outcomes within the justice system.
As the Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP) and Assessment and Referral Court (ARC), providing leadership, supervision and practice guidance to a team of case managers. Working closely with the Court Services Manager, judiciary, court staff and community partners, you will ensure high-quality, responsive and client-centred service delivery.
In This Leadership Position, You Will
- Lead the daily operations of the CISP and ARC programs at Ballarat Magistrates' Court.
- Supervise, mentor and support a multidisciplinary team of case managers.
- Provide guidance on complex case management, clinical risk assessment and risk mitigation.
- Manage program resources and client allocations to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with the judiciary, legal professionals, court staff and community service providers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program quality and client outcomes.
- Maintain a small caseload and provide expert advice on complex client matters.
- Support staff development, recruitment, induction and performance planning.
About You
You will bring
- Tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma level highly desirable) relevant to case management practice with forensic clients, psychology, social work, occupational therapy and/or other relevant field.
- Extensive experience in the assessment and case management of clients with multiple and complex needs.
- Experience in the leadership and management of health and/or social welfare staff.
- Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Sound knowledge of evidenced informed practice models and frameworks for working with multiple and complex needs, including those with a mental illness, intellectual disability, alcohol and other drug misuse, family violence, homelessness and/or acquired brain injury, as well as triage and waitlist management.
- Demonstrated capacity or experience in case management of clients presenting with complex needs, with well-developed knowledge and/or relevant experience in the following speciality areas: mental health, alcohol and substance use/addiction, family violence, or homelessness highly desirable.
- Experience in, or demonstrated capacity to provide supervision to case managers and advanced case managers, including in relation to clinical risk and its mitigation particularly within an area of advanced knowledge or experience.
