Salary Range: LGO3 ($41.59 - $ 44.91 per hour per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

As Gallery Services

Officer, you'll be the welcoming face of Townsville's galleries, providing outstanding front-of-house customer service while supporting the delivery of exhibitions, programs and events across both Perc Tucker Regional Gallery and Pinnacles Gallery.

Working closely with the Galleries team, you'll play a hands-on role in daily gallery operations, including visitor services, retail and ticketing, public programs, stakeholder engagement and volunteer support. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable experiences for visitors, artists and the broader community.

About You

You will bring

- Experience delivering exceptional customer service and engaging with diverse audiences.
- A genuine interest in the visual arts, galleries and the local creative community.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and confidence using digital systems.
- An understanding of gallery operations, professional standards and artwork security practices.




- A commitment to workplace health and safety and creating a positive visitor experience.
- A Queensland Working with Children Check
- Flexibility to work across both gallery locations.

- The Council contribution to employees' superannuation for contributing employees shall be 13.5% of the employees' ordinary time earnings subject to the employee contributing a minimum of 6% of their ordinary time earnings.
