Full-time | Permanent | Dubbo, NSW An established dairy operation in the Dubbo region of New South Wales is seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Manager to join their team.
This is a hands-on farm management position suited to someone with robust commercial dairy experience who is confident taking responsibility for livestock, people and day-to-day farm operations.
About the role
Working as part of an established dairy operation, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the day-to-day running of the farm, including:
- Dairy herd management and livestock care
- Animal health, welfare and disease prevention
- Feeding and animal nutrition
- Herd performance and general dairy operations
- Staff supervision and team coordination
- Farm planning and day-to-day operational management
- Irrigation and water management
- Machinery and farm equipment operation and maintenance
- Maintaining high standards of animal welfare and farm hygiene
- General farm duties as required
Previous manual milking experience is not essential for the right candidate, provided you have strong commercial dairy management experience.
About you
We are looking for an experienced dairy professional with:
- 5+ years' commercial dairy farming experience
- Previous experience as a Dairy Manager, Farm Manager, Herd Manager, 2IC or similar
- Strong knowledge of dairy cattle and herd management
- Experience in animal health and/or animal nutrition
- Experience with irrigation and/or farm machinery will be highly regarded
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- A practical, hands-on approach
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of farm operations
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career in Australian agriculture
Pay: $100,000.00 – $151,437.00 per year
