Dental Assistant, Receptionist & Treatment Coordinator

Contemporary Smiles is looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our growing team in Dental Assistant, Reception and Treatment Coordinator positions.

We are a well-established, modern and busy dental practice in Corrimal, with a friendly team and a strong focus on providing excellent patient care.

We are looking for people who are professional, reliable, positive and genuinely enjoy working with patients and as part of a team.

These are separate positions, with the successful applicants working primarily within their chosen area of the practice.

Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant role will involve:

- Chairside dental assisting
- Preparing treatment rooms and equipment
- Infection control and sterilisation
- Supporting dentists during a variety of procedures
- Lab work, including dental models, mouthguards, whitening trays and other appliances
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient clinical environment

Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, although we are happy to consider candidates who are studying or intending to study their Certificate III in Dental Assisting.

Receptionist

The Reception role will involve:
- Welcoming patients and making them feel comfortable
- Answering telephone calls and patient enquiries
- Making and managing appointments
- Taking payments and processing health fund claims
- General reception and administration duties
- Providing a friendly and professional experience for our patients

Previous dental reception experience is an advantage, but we are also interested in candidates with strong customer service and administration experience.

Treatment Coordinator

The Treatment Coordinator role will focus on helping patients understand and progress with their recommended dental treatment.

Responsibilities will include

- Meeting with patients to discuss their proposed treatment




- Explaining treatment plans and answering patient questions
- Helping patients understand treatment options, costs and appointment requirements
- Following up patients with outstanding treatment plans
- Coordinating treatment appointments and keeping patients informed throughout their treatment journey
- Working closely with dentists, reception and the wider team
- Providing a high level of patient service from initial consultation through to completion of treatment

Experience in dental treatment coordination, dental reception, practice management, sales or a patient-focused healthcare environment will be highly regarded.
