Join the RFDS Dental Team - Expression of Interest (Casual Pool) for 2027

The Royal Flying Doctor Service WA is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Dentists who are passionate about improving access to oral healthcare for people living in regional and remote Western Australia.

With a commitment of approximately four weeks per year, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a dedicated team delivering essential dental services to communities where access to regular oral healthcare is often limited. Through our fly-in fly-out clinics, RFDS provides free dental care to individuals experiencing geographical and socioeconomic barriers to treatment.

We are looking for compassionate, adaptable, and community-focused Dentists to join our casual talent pool. In this role, you will travel to regional and remote locations across Western Australia, working alongside our Dental Assistants to deliver high-quality dental care during outreach clinics that typically operate for one to two weeks at a time. Flights from Perth to the dental clinics will be provided.

About the role

- Emergency, preventative and general (non-urgent) dental health care to children and adults in designated rural and remote locations within Western Australia

- Oral advice
- Referral on to other services for more complex dental treatments (denture, crowns, orthodontic)
- Fixed site locations, with further expansion into delivering clinics with remote dental kits.

About you

- Available for a minimum of four weeks in a year (one to two week blocks) to FIFO
- Registration with AHPRA as a Dental Practitioner
- Maintain CPD as required by AHPRA registration
- A minimum of three years of experience in remote clinical practice
- Interest in indigenous health (experience will be highly regarded)

- Professional Indemnity Insurance

- Experience with electronic patient record systems
