About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Coordinator to join the Macquarie Community College team. You will be instrumental in developing and executing our social media strategy, managing our digital presence across multiple platforms, and supporting broader marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement. This role sits at the heart of our marketing communications efforts, enabling us to connect with our audience and build lasting relationships with our students and works across both the Macquarie Community College (MCC) and Gateway Community High (GCH) brands.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, create and manage engaging content across all social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Plan and execute social media campaigns that align with overall marketing objectives and brand messaging
- Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our community in a timely and professional manner




- Analyse social media performance metrics and provide regular reports on key performance indicators to inform strategy refinement
- Collaborate with MCC and GCH teams to integrate social media efforts with broader campaign initiatives and promotional activities
- Conduct research on social media trends, competitor activity and audience insights to inform content strategy
- Assist with the creation of marketing collateral including graphics, videos and promotional materials
- Contribute to email marketing strategy (HubSpot) - segmentation, email marketing and improving performance
- Support event marketing and promotional activities, including social media coverage and community engagement
- Manage social media calendars and scheduling tools to ensure consistent and timely content delivery

About you - Essential Knowledge and skills required:

- A motivated self starter with the ability to multi task and manage time efficiently and effectively in a quick paced environment
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organisation, ideally within the education or related industry
- Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and current trends in social media marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms
- Creative thinking and the ability to develop original, engaging content ideas that resonate with target audiences
- Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency
- Understanding of basic SEO/AEO principles and digital marketing best practices
- Current NSW drivers licence and car
- Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check and WWCC
