Hey there, it’s Victoria. We’re looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist to join the team across She’s on the Money and Zella.
As we head towards 2027, a big focus for us is making sure we’re not just creating great content and campaigns, but using them properly.
She’s on the Money already has a large, highly engaged audience across our podcast, social platforms, email list, community and education products.
Zella is a growing mortgage broking business with a strong referral base and a real opportunity to become much more intentional with digital lead generation.
What we need now is someone who can take ownership of the digital marketing performance across both businesses.
The majority of your time will be focused on She’s on the Money, with Zella also forming an important part of the role.
This is a hands-on role focused on paid media, testing, funnels, lifecycle marketing, retargeting, conversion and data.
You won’t be responsible for designing the assets.
You’ll work closely with our Brand & Creative Lead and Copywriter to brief the creative you need, then use performance data to help us understand what to test next.
This role is part time, approximately three days per week.
We’re intentionally structuring it this way because we believe the scope of the role can be done really well within those hours.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of digital marketing performance across She’s on the Money and Zella, including:
- Planning, building and optimising paid social campaigns
- Running Meta advertising across acquisition, lead generation and retargeting
- Testing audiences, creative angles, hooks, offers and campaign structures
- Building and improving funnels across courses, products, lead magnets and enquiries
- Managing lifecycle marketing, segmentation and email journeys
- Supporting launches from a performance and conversion perspective
- Managing marketing automations and integrations across platforms including ActiveCampaign, ManyChat and Zapier
- Monitoring performance across ROAS, CAC, cost per lead, conversion and list growth
- Identifying where people are dropping out of the customer journey
- Using performance data to brief our creative and copy teams on what we should test next
For Zella, the focus will be on lead generation, targeting, retargeting, tracking and making sure we understand what is actually driving enquiries. You’ll also help us evolve our marketing technology stack.
We currently use ActiveCampaign, but as the business grows we expect to review our CRM and lifecycle platform. This role will help lead that process from evaluation through to implementation.
The kind of person who will thrive in this role
You’re analytical, curious and commercially minded.
You like testing things properly and you’re comfortable changing direction when the data tells you something isn’t working.
You understand that strong creative matters, but your strength is in knowing what happens after someone sees the ad.
Ideally you
- Have strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager
- Have experience running performance and acquisition campaigns
- Understand funnels, conversion optimisation and customer journeys
- Have experience with email marketing, segmentation and lifecycle campaigns
- Are comfortable working in platforms such as ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo or similar
- Understand retargeting, lead generation and campaign testing
- Can interpret performance data and turn it into clear actions
- Have experience briefing creative based on what the data is showing
- Have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working independently
- Can explain performance clearly without relying on marketing jargon
We’d particularly love to hear from you if you’re coming out of an agency workplace where you’ve been hands-on across multiple clients, campaigns and funnels. That kind of experience, where you’re used to testing quickly, reading performance and moving between acquisition, lifecycle and conversion,
would translate really well into this role.
Experience with digital products, online education, media brands, professional services or lead-generation businesses would also be highly relevant.
You don’t need to come from finance.
Why this role is special
You’ll be joining two businesses that already have strong foundations.
She’s on the Money has a large audience that knows us, trusts us and actively engages with what we create.
Zella has grown primarily through referrals and returning clients, which means there is a real opportunity to build a smarter digital acquisition strategy around an already strong business.
We’re making some meaningful changes to how the team is structured as we head into 2027, and this role will have genuine ownership over how we approach performance marketing, testing, lifecycle and our marketing technology stack.
How to apply
Please send an email through to
[email protected] and include:
- Your resume
- A cover letter telling us why you’d love to work across She’s on the Money and Zella
- A brief overview of the types of campaigns, funnels or lifecycle programs you’ve managed
- Any relevant case studies or examples you’re able to share
We care less about how much ad spend you’ve managed and more about how you think. If you share a campaign example, tell us what you were trying to achieve, what you tested, what happened and what you changed as a result.
A small note before you apply In the first line of your cover letter, please include the words “Test, learn, improve.”
Along with your application, please answer the following in 200 words or less:
Imagine we have a free downloadable guide that is generating a strong volume of leads, but very few of those people are going on to buy one of our courses. What would you look at first, and how would you start working out where the problem is?
There isn’t one perfect answer.
We simply want to understand how you think about funnels, customer journeys, testing and conversion before jumping straight to a solution.
We can’t wait to read your applications.
Recruiters need not contact us, we’ve got this one.
