Are you an experienced Diploma Qualified Educator looking for a Room Leader position within a small, supportive early learning service?

Keleah's Early Learning is a boutique 23-place early learning centre in Terrigal. We pride ourselves on providing a calm, welcoming and relationship-focused environment where children feel safe, secure and supported to learn and grow.

We are looking for an experienced Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator / Room Leader to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

The position

Working 38 hours per week, you will take an active leadership role within the room while working closely with our Centre Director, Educational Leader and educators.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading and supporting educators in the day-to-day operation of the room
- Building strong and respectful relationships with children and families
- Planning and implementing meaningful, play-based learning experiences
- Supporting children's individual learning, development and emotional wellbeing
- Contributing to observations, programming and documentation
- Supporting the implementation of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
- Maintaining high standards of supervision, health, safety and wellbeing
- Supporting educators to maintain high-quality practice
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the service

The successful applicant will be expected to:

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting responsibilities
- Understand and embed the Child Safe Standards in everyday practice
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children




- Uphold our Child Secure Code of Conduct, policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing child safety and child protection training
- Actively promote an environment where children are respected, listened to and protected from harm

What we're looking for To be considered for this position, you will need:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
- Experience working within an early childhood education and care setting
- Experience or demonstrated capability in a Room Leader or leadership role
- Sound knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
- Strong understanding of child-safe practices and the Child Safe Standards
- Current recognised child protection training/certification appropriate to NSW early childhood education and care
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
- Willingness to undertake ongoing child safety and child protection training
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Check upon request
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A reliable, professional and collaborative approach
