We’re looking for a senior communicator who is able to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for keeping the ACT community informed.

The Content team within the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate is responsible for a variety of whole-of-government communication channels including social media, digital channels and print products.

This role leads the strategy and direction for these channels. You’ll help shape the voice of government across these channels, ensuring the right message, reaches the right audience, at the right time.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across government, work closely with Ministers’ offices and contribute to key initiatives and campaigns.

What you’ll do

- Develop and execute the ACT Government’s WHOG content strategy in collaboration with senior executives, Ministers’ Offices and directorates across government
- Work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts and multidisciplinary teams within other directorates and Ministerial offices to source, design and curate content designed around user needs
- Regular performance reporting and analysis to inform audience growth and engagement as well as to demonstrate impact
- Management of direct relationships with external stakeholders
- Management of a multidisciplinary team, including supervising staff, mentoring, managing workloads and building capability
- Communication support at the Public Information Coordination Centre (PICC) in times of a Territory emergency.

A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.

This position currently operates in a hybrid capacity which includes working from home and in office under an activity-based working environment with unallocated desks when in the office.
