Rural and Remote Services comprise seven health service facilities ranging in Clinical Service Capability (CSCF) levels 2-3. These facilities are located across the Cassowary and Hinterland Hubs, Herberton, and Yarrabah. Yarrabah is a CSCF 2. The Yarrabah community is a Deed of Grant in Trust (DOGIT) community located approximately 45 minutes from Cairns CBD and is co-located with Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (GYHSAC),

About your opportunity:

In this position you will....

Provide expertise in the effective management of a service budget, personnel, and the delivery of services in an acute/community/primary health care facility using a quality framework and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.

Promote customer service and hospitality and respond to and adequately resolve complaints or concerns from patients or families about nursing and facility issues.





Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing, operational and administration staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.

Ensure delivery of compassionate, quality care, and nursing supervision to ensure key performance indicators are met and are in line with policy and legislative requirements.
