Details: Transport Canberra is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to join the Business Improvement team as the Director Strategy, Planning and Policy.

This role leads the development of strategic public transport policy, planning and business improvement initiatives that support Canberra's integrated public transport network. Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will oversee the development of the Public Transport Strategy, strategic plans, policy advice, business cases and budget proposals that shape the future of public transport services across the ACT.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with demonstrated experience delivering complex projects and policy outcomes in a dynamic environment. You will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to provide high-quality advice on complex issues, and a strong commitment to building productive teams and delivering customer-focused outcomes. Experience in government policy, planning, budget development, transport or infrastructure environments will be highly regarded.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

- Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment,



while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas.
- The Planning and Delivery Branch operates in a hybrid working environment. Staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% of their weekly hours from the office.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Please note, this position is situated in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT.
