We are currently seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated female support workers to join our team. If you are passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team that provides 24-hour support for a female NDIS participant within their SIL home.
- Support the participant during periods of emotional dysregulation
- Participate in buddy shifts with regular support workers and complete Behavior Support Plan (BSP) training prior to your first shift.
- Valuable communication skills, with accurate completion of incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers where required.
- Monitor participants' health conditions and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate personnel
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with individuals with complex psychosocial diagnosis.
- Proven ability to manage behaviours of concern, and crisis situations in a safe, supportive manner.
- Experience in medication management and understanding of clinical documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- An empathic approach to service delivery, with a flexible and adaptable style, a sense of humour, and keen attention to detail.
- Mental Health First Aid (desirable but not essential)
Essential Criteria:
- A Driver's license valid in Australia and access to own vehicle.
- First Aid Certificate and CPR
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Right to Work in Australia such as passport, visa.
- Willingness to work on a 24/7 rotating roster which includes days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekend shifts.
Pay: From $37.95 per hour Expected hours: No more than 38.0 per week
