Care & Health is a small NDIS registered provider looking for a reliable, compassionate and emotionally mature Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis in Sydney.

We are looking for someone who is calm, patient and confident supporting participants with psychosocial disability and complex support needs.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, respecting participant boundaries and personal space.

Key responsibilities include

-Providing person-centred support in the participant’s home and community

-Supporting daily living activities, appointments, shopping and community access

-Providing emotional and psychosocial support while maintaining skilled boundaries

-Following individual support plans, risk assessments and participant preferences

-Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour, mood or wellbeing

-Completing clear and accurate progress notes after each shift

-Communicating professionally with participants, families and the Care & Health team

-Following NDIS Practice Standards, incident reporting procedures and workplace policies

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a Disability Support Worker, preferably supporting people with psychosocial disability, mental health conditions, autism or complex needs

Has excellent spoken and written English (this is essential for the role)

Is calm, patient,



emotionally resilient and does not take challenging interactions personally

Has strong communication skills and professional boundaries

Is reliable and able to work independently

Can adapt their communication style to the individual participant

Understands person-centred and trauma-informed support

Is confident completing professional progress notes and incident documentation

Essential requirements

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current First Aid and CPR

Australian working rights

Relevant disability/community services qualification or demonstrated relevant experience

Ability to meet Care & Health compliance and onboarding requirements

Employment: Casual

Pay: Competitive casual hourly rate based on experience and applicable employment conditions, plus superannuation.
