EmpoweringU Disability Support Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in the Sunbury area.

We have a range of casual ongoing weekday and weekend shifts available with established participants, making this an excellent chance for support workers looking for casual consistent hours.

As a Disability Support Worker with EmpoweringU Disability Support Services, your role will include:

- Providing full personal care.
- Assisting participants with daily living tasks at home including personal hygiene, showering, and toileting.
- Supporting participants to access the community such as: driving them to appointments or social outings and attending community programs or recreational activities ( YOU MUST have a car).
- Have proven written skills to report on participants’ wellbeing through progress notes.
- Promoting independence and empowerment in all activities.
- Following personalised care plans.
- Providing social engagement and emotional support.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, including use of hoists or other equipment (commode, power wheelchair)




- Supporting participant from diverse cultural backgrounds with respect and sensitivity.
- You MUST HAVE experience working with participants who have complex health and mobility needs.

Following shifts offered (Sunbury): Monday & Wednesday:

- Worker 1 - 7am-11am
- Worker 2 - 7am-1pm
- Worker 3 - 2pm-7pm

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday:

- Worker 1 - 7am-11am
- Worker 2 - 7am-12pm

Friday:

- Worker 1 - 7am-11am
- Worker 2 - 7am-3pm
- Worker 3 - 2pm-7pm

Job Type: Casual Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week

Experience

- Disability Support Work: 1 year (Required)

Licence/Certification:
- Driver Licence (Required)
- Police check (Required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
- First Aid Certification (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Working with Children Check (Required)
- Minimum certificate III in Individual Supports (Required)

Work Authorisation:
